situation:
LivInn Suites, an extended stay hotel, was considering a major interior renovation of the pool area. Our client's concerns with the current pool design were the high operating costs to maintain and service the pool, the liability with guests jumping from the balcony into the pool, and both the non-functional space and the outdated design.
initiatives:
Commercial Silk Int’l began by designing a space that would eliminate the pool, and convert the area to a north woods “park-like” setting complete with a gazebo, seating areas and a water feature. Our team designed and constructed various strategically placed planter beds in order to eliminate the large expansive areas of brick and create more intimate spaces. Next, Commercial Silk Int’l manufactured and installed a variety of 18’ large artificial trees to help reduce the room noise created by the tall warehouse ceilings and to bring a human scale to the space.
results:
Commercial Silk Int’l successfully designed, manufactured and installed a complete turnkey solution from an expensive, outdated pool area and transformed the space into a functional and relaxing guest area.
